I'm going to e-hoard a bunch of stuff online. 

  Yesterday I de-hoarded a bunch of things on my phone, tons of bad, blurry, washed-out,
   and redundant photos.  I had to, I was almost out of storage space.  I feel virtuous now.

I actually haven't bought toilet paper in a while, but I still have enough for five or six months.

Yes. We thought it could heal on its own but when we saw the specialist he said he needed surgery asap because if he doesn't he'll lose all of the strength in his bicep plus the ability to rotate his hand to do things. It's his dominant arm too.

Apparently a half cast for 8 weeks I think? The surgeon will remind me again today. And then physio for 4 weeks. Overall we're looking at 8-12 months for a full heal. It's a bigger deal than we had originally thought. I think he's off work for 8 weeks as well and then modified until he's fully healed. He has a very physically demanding work that requires a lot of upper body strength (he works in a factory) so it will be a long time before he's back to doing what he was doing before.

Will it make a difference for him that this accident happened while on the job?

The whole not sending him to emergency right after the accident makes the company even more responsible for the damage. Tendons like help asap.

Yes, they have to pay him 80% of his wages while he's off work.
