Till lindemann is one sick fucking puppy. Just look at the lyrics to songs like 'sehnsucht' (talks about him doing some pretty twisted things with his sister. For ex 'finger slips down to mexico' is one line in that song, translated into english). And 'mann gegen mann', I'm not even GOING there!.
And for one of his songs, I forget which, he was meant to do this stage effect with a light photoshopped or something, into his mouth, I forget the song now,it was for the video.
Rather than do that though, I read that Till had a slit cut into the side of his cheek, to feed the light through so whenever he opened his mouth to sing, you see this superbright white glow in his mouth.
Pretty sure this shit is as asinine (and false) as the nonsense from ' 60s social conservatives who spread the rumors of Frank Zappa taking a shit on stage and eating it.
You do understand that a fairly powerful laser can be transferred down a well shielded, invisible from forty feet away, "light pipe" and then reversed to annoy the audience by sending the light out of someone's mouth, right? I saw it done many different way, many times in the eighties with FAR more primitive equipment than is available in these times from Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Journey and a few others live in concert, using lasers and even making an attempt at holography.
I actually watched as Godzilla tore off the roof of the Astrodome in Houston and reached in to "frighten" concert goers during that time. It was a fairly advanced three dimensional projection done with laser technology available in those days. Imagine what thirty or forty years of technological advancement have done for stage shows where it is still legal to use lasers for performance art.
It could easily be just as easy as when Joe Walsh made that horrid sound with a tube from his guitar amp coming into his mouth, in front of a microphone, for the first time.
