Don't take this too seriously, but ...

I see this error quite a lot actually ... and made even by very intelligent and educated people who write well (even more intelligent and educated than me). And not even dyslexic.

Please ... if you love me just one bit ... consider that sometimes that apostrophe means something. I assure you it does. It's needed for contractions. But when it comes to indicating possession of something/someone, don't add that apostrophe ... because that's called grammar abuse.

Therefore:

it's = it is or it has (depending on the context)

and

its = possessive pronoun (for example, "This dog is very loyal to its owner")

It's very easy to differentiate between the two. Just remember the apostrophe has its own use in this case.

Adding an apostrophe to plural nouns is something that irks me. Like at the shops - "banana's". Does something belong to the banana? No, it does not so don't use an apostrophe!

I'll forgive you for that since there's an excuse. But you put a bit too much effort by adding an "i" to "apostrophes".

i miss apostrophes a lot on my pphone  too. the only thing that really annoys me is when people say "of" instead of "have"

i make a lot of mistakes just from typing quickly and talking how i'd speak, so i try not to be tooo harsh on others lol

but yeh i can get irritated with apostrophes that turn up all over the place. like just coz the word ends in S you put an apostrophe in it

It's not "I've got to...".  The uncontractioned phrase would be "I have to...".

Also, it's not "complected", but "complexioned".
