As fast as they put them up I'm not surprised. Then they put them as close to the water as possible in most areas, right off the beach or waterfront.
The "teacher turned homebuilder" that built this house did a couple next door to us as his third "experimental" project, they're on a concrete slab, over top where we had standing water and cat tails growing, right below the hillside. Both have mildew and mold problems, the one spends a ton of money on allergists every year, the other rarely stays there, but can't sell it for what she payed for it.
