You wil need a big hat. It will give you shade in the sun and lots of space when taking a bus.

Christa and Volker Kraft from Saalfeld Germany began decorating their apple tree for easter in 1965. Their tradition grew along with the tree, to decorating it with more than 10,000 eggs, and it became a tourist attraction drawing thousands of people each year. 2015 was the last year for the Easter tree, but here's some pictures of it in all its glory.

Yeah, I agree. I totally get it that they're probably too old to be spending weeks up on a ladder to do all that work, but if it was such a great thing to their community then I'm surprised someone didn't take it over for them.  :dunno:

The article I linked says they kept them in their garage.  :orly: It also said a lot of them were real eggs, which were eaten by local children.

Earlier this year in January, hundreds of thousands of toy filled eggs washed up on the island shores of Langeoog Germany, after a cargo ship lost containers during a storm. The eggs were collected to protect the environment and the local children were happy to help with the clean up efforts.  :thumbup:
