Some of it's a little funny, but the train one was really bad. It made him appear to have no value for human life. That's a terrible stereotype to perpetuate. Never paid much attention to the onion; is it a big deal or do they make fun of other disabilities like that too?

It is the Onion, it is meant to be funny. Everything they show/make offends someone somewhere. I took it to be more that they were making fun of the media's insensitivity to sensitive subjects (which I have seen a lot of in the regular news on tv here). The reporter happened to be autistic.

The train one... well the stereotype here could be the autistic love for trains I think...

I have no idea if they make fun of other disabilities.

Yes, have seen a couple of their things, and considered it might be intended to be crude. Didn't get the thing about news reporter stereotypes; maybe because never watch the news. lol. Sure the love of train was obvious, but the lines about a good day for the train, human debris, and blood and guts didn't strike as funny and typical as the train thing.

Have seen someone on the regular news interviewed when a family member of theirs was murdered or something and asked, "What are your thoughts about this?" or something similar. When it is pretty obvious that the person interviewed would be devastated. But they are asked this question anyway.

I was struck by the autistic reporter's view on soldiers killed in Afghanistan. He saw them as all the same, 27 killed, which is exactly what I thought right when he said it.
