Rowan wakes me up at 6am to let him and Kira out, then again at 7am for his breakfast.

She usually lets me sleep until 7 or so before she gets impatient, but if there is an emergency she will. That's an emergency the way dogs see the world.

She's not like a cat, to be sure. Cats are monsters when it comes to their needs.

Yeah, our cats don't care if I'm sleeping. Even Kira got in the act this morning. It was still dark when he started bothering me. And then I couldn't ignore Rowan's meows.

Dogs tend to think that you are their best friend. Sometimes they control you, but it's not that difficult to change that if you know what to look for.

That's not doable with cats, in my experience.

Had a fantastic night of sleep last night and woke up before the cub for the first time in forever. Ok the first time on a weekend in forever, I'm usually dragging him out of bed on weekdays. But I got to lie in bed enjoying the morning for a whole 20 minutes before he woke up.

So so. I seem to always wake up around 3 am to 430ish like clockwork, and I just basically get up then  :laugh:
