This morning when she finished her breakfast, I looked to make sure she ate and everything was gone except for 1/3 of her pill sitting there nicely on display in the exact centre of her bowl. She's a bit passive aggressive.
The dog we had before the one we have now was clever doing this as well. We got about a week's worth of doses down him using trickery and concealment. I had to finally give up and force him to take them, every day. The pills were something he had to live with, since the medication controlled his seizures.
He eventually resolved himself to my gentle, stuff the pill down his throat and do not allow him to spit it out efforts.
He was an awesome little dog and I never thought I would say so about a chihuahua. But he was a tough, brave, protective little fellow with a lot of personality. I miss him.
