Let me say this again, and you cannot prove me wrong: The only reason your dog sticks around is for FOOD. That's it.

Yes, dogs love food a lot. But I don't see that being the one sole reason they stick around. Dogs, by nature, love human companionship. They love to be walked. They love to be pampered. They love making friends.

When you come back home from work, guess who's the first to welcome you with high enthusiasm even after so many years? Try getting your future wife to be excited for you after just one year of being together.

I have two lurchers and they are the most loveable and loving things EVER , dog's are IMO the embodiment of unconditional love.
