After having my box of sewing thread tumble down for the 3rd times in four days, I put 108 spools of thread in zip lock bags.  They may fall out now, but the buggars won't tangle (or waltz or cha-cha-cha)
Picking up a plethora of small spilled stuff sucks.

Your karma, ahhh one of those years where I was an innocent awkward teenager.

I remember 1978.  I was a dorky 12-year-old with that unisex pageboy haircut so many people had then,
and when my brother and I went with our father to pick up the new car ( butterscotch-colored Chevy Nova ),
the car salesman addressed me and my brother as  "you two boys."  :zoinks:

 :lol1:
I had that haircut too.

I worked hard today and did a good job, except that I over-washed the mushrooms.
I'm afraid they will be soggy, tasteless and brown tomorrow.  :-[  I must restrain myself next time!

5 minutes ago I've harvested my first 4 strawberries. Not that sweet nor very big.. but nice nonetheless.

Neat!

Little bunnies are sneaking into my garden and gobbling up my strawberries.  They don't even have the decency to wear pancakes on their heads for my amusement.

how do you keep the birds away?
Growing up, we had strawberry plants, but the birds or insects got to the before we could.
Misunderstood.

I'll have the plants in a wooden 'square meter' (filled with good soil) on my balcony. Um, whilst the birds (mostly the blackbird couple/Turdus merula) are free to pick the ones in the garden.. they haven't found the strawberries on the balcony yet.

When I notice they're going for those too I'll make some sort of light wooden frame thingie and cover the plants with a net.

Um, a picture might be handy here?

Nice. They're already so thick.  Mine are all spread out and scraggly looking.

I should probably put some chicken wire or something around my garden.

I harvested my first 3 a couple of hours ago, as an extra dessert. They were very sweet, very tasty. Best strawberries of the year so far. And the ones I bought last weekend weren't bad at all.

My rocket salad is all of a sudden growing like hell. So harvested quite some of that too.

Yesterday I cut off all my coriander, my falafel balls were very green.

I walked the Vallejo waterfront, talked to two fisherman there, bought powerball quick picks and came home.

Did the fishermen let you hold their rods?   :snowman:
