I did my Saturday housework and washed the cars. :hadron: I also cleaned the vacuums and their filters in anticipation of the work I'll do tomorrow.

I deep cleaned in the boy's room. :hadron: I had intended to deep dust the whole house today, but by the time I finished his room I felt exhausted. I'm not sure if I just did too much yesterday or if I'm only a little run down this week. Either way, I'm done and taking it easy the rest of the weekend.  :2thumbsup:

Did some of my writing... I just need a quiet spot later to finish the rewrite of Chapter 7

What does deep clean mean? My own room may need it. There's no carpet so that may be a good thing.

It means everything gets moved. Deep dusting the house means dusting the ceiling and walls, cleaning the light fixtures and ac vents, moving all the furniture and and appliances and cleaning underneath and behind them, cleaning the baseboards and blinds, and things like the louvers on the closet doors, and then changing the air filters after it's all done. This is done every three months because Sugarbutt has terrible dust allergies, so I try to keep the house as dust free as possible. Weekly dry dusting only does so much and it's always a little surprising how much hidden dirt there is after only a few weeks. When I deep dust the boy's room I also go ahead and polish his furniture and electronics while I'm in there and wet dust all his knickknacks and stuff on the walls, so I don't have to bug him two weeks in a row to spend a bunch of time in his room. We don't have any carpet either. I think it's a good thing for us because carpet holds a lot of dust, but others might prefer to have carpet.  :dunno:

Thanks for explaining. :)

Our only carpet is a Turkish mat in the lounge room. The rest of the house is vinyl tiles except for the laundry, bathroom and toilet (which are separate rooms), they're regular tiles. I sweep somewhere every day, especially the kitchen and area between the lounge room and kitchen. That part has the most foot traffic.

My room needs dusting under the bed and under the drawers, the rest is ok.

I deep dusted in our bedroom. :hadron: I told Sugarbutt, I'm going to try to do a room each evening this week. I also polished the furniture while I was in and I think I'll do furniture and electronics each day too, so hopefully by the end of the week I'll not only be caught up but I'll also be ahead of the game.  :2thumbsup:

I sweep somewhere every day,

We run the robovac each day, but I think if we didn't have a dog going in and out a gozillion times per day, we wouldn't really need it. Each evening when I clean up after dinner I still give the kitchen a quick sweep and mop.

We don't have a robovac, I think we have too much stuff for one to get around. Plus the cats, who would probably freak out. As it is, they don't even like the broom which they see every day.

Today I went to the gym which has tired me more than usual. I think I might have a nap later.

I made the grocery order. :hadron: I scheduled it to be delivered Saturday instead of tomorrow, since Jack's going to be busier than usual.  :dunno:

I woke up at my usual time, made lunch, checked the mail, watched YouTube videos, and went to Writers Group, now I'm finishing up my laundry and getting ready for bed.
