Washed my hair, went to my dentist appointment (scale and clean), handed in my invoice at work, took my car for a wash (after having it seriously pooped on by birds just because I parked in the shade at the Salvos), bought a drink at the petrol station and posted a postcard.

Since I've been home, read for a while then had to put away the groceries from our shopping delivery. Now it's time to do the dishes. I've been putting it off.

There is a family owned store, deli shop, bakery and butcher I go to from time to time. It is a Mexican family and they have some of the rare spices, unique cuts of meat, fresh tortillas, pan dulce, and many foods from south of the border that you can not just find at regular big stores.

I bought three pounds of tip cuts (the butcher trims More expensive cuts to be more appealing) which is all the cuttings placed out for stew meat.
Also they had just made chorizo today - I bought three pounds. Then on the way out the door they had some fresh Cacao bread. I bought two loaves. That is basically bread made from raw non-processed beans most of us think of as cocoa or the source of chocolate.
You don't have to be Hershey's to make fabulous things from cacao!

I plan to make carne quisada for lunch tomorrow with the tip cuts.

The  spices are more fresh than anything in a little red box, which often are three to five years old by the time the product reaches market, all processed up and canned for you, but no longer fresh.

The cinnamon I bought there was harvested last summer. You can not imagine the difference in actual fresh cinnamon, compared to anything available in a big box grocery.

I want to support this family's efforts!

I recently offended one of my friends, who is a cat, by saying that cats are like puppy, except goblin.  Would not forgive me until I gave sea meat and pets.  Now we are frens agains

Went to the gym, had lunch, wrote out some stuff for my psychologist which I hope will be adequate, put the bins out the front, read some of my current book, now going to do the dishes.

I have a psychologist appointment at 3:30pm and after that, work.

I've been stuck in decision paralysis, between going to bed and going downstairs to add tomatoes and pasta to my stir fry (I added too much salt to it).  It's now been two and a half hours.  lol

If I didn't have pretzels to snack on I rpobably would have already gotten desperate enough to just go ahead and make the food.

3 different trips to the supermarket, the first for our needs, the second for the food pantry, the third for our disaster box.  A lot of driving, but with the weather and high winds, just as strenuous as my regular walk.  With the high winds, walking to my car was like walking thru a wind tunnel on high.  OY

Stayed inside and did some writing, got a haircut, took a shower, had supper with Mom, went for a walk, watched a really crappy movie, now I should get ready for bed.
