Worked on somebody's Christmas present.

Carla comes back from work drained due to the republitards of NH and the endless stream of people FINALLY GETTING vaccinations.  Gave her one of her xmas gifts and her usual xmas flower arrangements.   She felt better.

Read for a while. Walked the dog. Played with the dog.

Laundry, shopped for a craft supply and a sympathy card for Sheilas family.

Went to see a doctor - I'm not feeling brilliant and the nurse on the phone said I really should because of some of the symptoms I'm having. I thought the one thing it couldn't be was covid since I took one of those quick antigen tests you can do at home, but the doctor said that I clearly have some kind of virus infection and that the quick tests are notoriously unreliable.

So now I'm swabbed and at home and waiting for the test results. The labs are swamped so it could take a few days.

Hope you feel better

Today I went and measured   a renovation so I could make a material list for next week

Carla and I went shopping together, a rare thing these days since pharmacists are being run ragged by the seething masses.

Got a new camera lens for cheap, but it's a bit temperamental. Sometimes stops working and the camera spits out an error, when starts working once again. Very likely due to the fact it's 3rd party and wasn't really meant to be adapted to a mirrorless camera.

I did debate on returning it, but other than that issue (which doesn't happen THAT often) it is excellent. I can't really afford anything better at the moment!

My dream lens is very similar, but it's a stop faster and it costs... £3000, easily 10x more than what I paid for this. So yeah, it will do for now.

Walked the dog. Did some fixes to a library I'm maintaining.

Fingers crossed.  :-\

Went to the bookstore and replenished my to be read pile.  Some local lore, history, a bio and a Star Trek book.

Didn't do a lot today. Logged in to check for test results, just in case, but of course there's nothing yet.
