Drove all the way down to within a mile of NYC to pick up materials for the house I'm working on tomorrow because it was sold out everywhere else and got stuck in awful traffic all the way home

Last week I got stuck on the freeway for half an hour. I don't even know what the problem was.

Today I went to physio class and finally got to 1km on the rowing machine. Went to Macca's afterwards for orange juice then went home and did the dishes. Jack's post came to mind as I was doing them. We don't have a dishwasher. I'm it.

Have a psychiatrist appointment at 3:30pm, then work.

We don't have a dishwasher. I'm it.

Dishwashers can be a little overrated. The dishes still need the food and drink residue cleaned off before putting in the dishwasher. That's okay for a quick rinse if they're done straight away but if they've sat for even a short amount of time, the residue get stuck on and they essentially need to be washed first. Ours are also still a little damp even after using the dry cycle. Leaving them to sit afterwards allows the dampness to evaporate, but prefer to catch them while damp to polish the glasses and utensils before water spots dry on them. Husband prefers the dishwasher because he thinks the heat of the dry cycle makes the dishes cleaner, but the sink dish soap we use is antibacterial while the dishwasher soap isn't. Not sure if either matters much. Dishwashers are probably more helpful for people who generate enough dishes to run it every day. Since we don't, always did the pots, pans and large utensils by hand anyway because they would be needed again before the dishwasher would be run.

I faxed over the latest Sixty Four Page documentation (signing on about every second or third page) to our banker, all toward a completed loan, eventually.

Finally got started on the Christmas decorating.   Just trying to figure out where to put the stuff.   :zombiefuck:

The new dishwasher still hasn't arrived. I fucking hate doing it manually.

My place has a dishwasher but I haven't bothered using or learning how to use it yet. Was even less bothered when I saw the price of dishwasher tablets at Coles.

Today I went to a garage sale of a lady from dance class and made sure she didn't sell my new buffet hutch from under me :P.
Voted in the council elections, got some groceries and spent the rest of the day cleaning and watching the weather with anticipation, only to be underwhelmed.

Prepped and am cooking my wife's favorite taco stew.   Fairly easy recipe to follow.  The ingredients took more time to find in the store.

Taco stew? I'd give that a try.

After physio class we went to Officeworks so Kayleigh could buy a hub for her computer. Then we went to the chemist so she could buy meds and shampoo and conditioner for me.

Trying to stay cool at home, will hang a load of washing out soon.

Worked.
Got an early mark at 4pm so went shopping at Target.
Came home, sprayed some weeds since we get a few days break from the weather.
Cleaned up the putrid cat mess in the laundry and main bathroom.
Washed my hair then went out and got takeaway dinner.

Bought a grey hoodie (which I really don't need but it's so soft) and a cardboard aeroplane cat toy for my sister's cats. They can have it for Christmas. Both bought at the Salvos today. Then I went to work and realised that so many people don't want to work on a Friday close to Christmas and New Year. Only had to clean half the offices because the others weren't used.
