Tried some frozen zucchini with a batter coating.  Since I have been having a craving for some deep fried zucchini.  I used to eat them a lot at a local bar and hang out for nursing students and medical staff from the nearby hospitals.  Loved them with some mustard dipping sauce.  Cheap and delicious bar food.   Alas, these tasted ok, but, were cut too thick and while I'm partially satisfied.  Once I finish them off, I will never buy them again.  But, hey, it was worth a shot!   :dunno:

Woke up really late. Dragged myself out to the courtyard to start fixing up the garden. Got the weed matting down and an inch thick of mulch over the top. Gonna need more I think, get it to two inches thick, and enough to put around the plants down the end.

Took the cub down to the river so he could throw rocks in the water. Went rambling along the bank a ways and sat on a fallen log and ate cookies with him. Took him on an "adventure" (cutting through about 50' of brush between the shore and the trail) and he found an old golfball in the dirt.

Yes most years I remember to turn it off at the valve in the basement,  I have forgotten in the past without problems but I'd rather not take a chance with it freezing


Today I sold at the flea market first time since 2019 and had a record breaking sales day :hyke:
