What have you done today? (Pt 2)

Also took delivery of dog food and whisky. 

I also ordered a dog food delivery. It's been missing from the shelves again and I haven't seen it over a month. I actually still have quite a bit, but the last time I had this problem, supplies got really low and I got super stressed out about it, so I'm stocking up again with the internet while I can still find it online. My package is already on its way.

Drove Rowan (the kitten) 45 minutes to get him sterilised by a vet that would do it for "free". Free meaning it was included in the price that I paid for him.

While he was there, I drove to Rockingham where we went to a board game shop. My, there were some expensive dice there. $130 for a set of hematite dice. The were other semi-precious stone ones as well.

Then we went back home where Kayleigh was expecting some parcels. More Star Trek books and comics. On the way we stopped off at a chemist so I could buy some anti-fog spray for my glasses. It worked in so far as I was no longer completely blinded by my own breath coming out of my mask.

I then drove back to the town where the vet is. We had lunch (me, fish and chips, Kayleigh an Aussie burger). We walked around a bit but there wasn't much to see. We somehow waited for two hours then went to pick up Rowan. He was very dozy from the anaesthetic.

Took him and Kayleigh home then had to go straight to work.

Today we got up early to do some last minute cleaning before the house inspection. Then I gave Kayleigh a lift to physio, came back home and of course that's when the inspection people came. The woman said we have to mop the bathroom, toilet and laundry. I mopped them on Saturday. That sort of tile is hard to clean because they're rough.

After they left I went and picked Kayleigh up. Now I'm thinking about a nap before work.

I thought it was really picky too. I've never had that sort of inspection, but I assumed it's kind of basic, just making sure the tenants and pets aren't wrecking the place or breaking safety codes.

I made an order to hoard some stuff for Sugarbutt's special dietary needs. It's been unavailable for almost a year, so that was super exciting and also comforting at the same time.

Worked. Well, spent a lot of the day in various meetings and got paid for them. Also, fed the family.

Too much. Little sore, but still pleased.

Worked a bit, went to Halifax with PI to get our first Covid jabs, more work. Took Xan for walk on the moor. Got to the evening before starting to feel decidedly shit. Better than getting Big Rona though.
