I bought toothbrushes and got a free cappuccino and Waitrose magazine. No recipe cards though - recipes in January magazines and recipe cards usually suck. Dieting and whathaveyou after Christmas. All the recipe cards have crappy recipes like cakes made of almond flour and eggs, or bean salad. Urgh. Got a free poorly laid out recipe calendar with the magazine. Some of the recipes look good.

Just watched the new next-door cat try to get to know Liam. Sort of playing around him. He is a black kitten named Toby.

Found where I had written the information from my insurance card.  The pharmacy can now fill the prescriptions (sleeping pills and pain pills).  Just need to find the actual card.

Drove south and went walking. Had a coffee & cake at the RSL club down there (only cafe open on a saturday afternoon). Went driving around and stupidly decided to take a dirt back road tour. As far as dirt roads go it was actually in good condition, but when you have 20" wheels and low profile tyres... :P
I was intending to wash the car tomorrow anyway :P

As soon as I saw 'dirt back road tour', I thought Uh oh, the car!

I'm a bit hesitant about driving on dirt roads, my car bottoms out on practically everything.

I knew the road and the fact that some of it was dirt, but I couldn't remember where the bitumen ended which seemed to go on forever, so I thought I'd passed the halfway point and decided it would be quicker to keep going along than to do a U-turn and go back. The road was just a little corrugated and rocky in most parts that's all, very few potholes or divots despite recent rain. No harm done apart from the mud. I even managed to keep traction.

Mud! On your new car!

Today I cleaned the fridge. There had been about half a tin of beetroot juice spilled in there, quite a mess. It had congealed too so I had to scrape it out. Fun day.

Ew...beetroot has to be one of the most repulsive things eaten by people, full stop.  Along with anything from the Brassica family, and white sauce, cheese sauces.

Went and got some rolling baccy as I've run out, and some rolling papers. Found a dropped bag with a wee bit of weed in it, so snatched that up on the way back from the shop.

Took morning meds, sort of. Didn't take my usual pain meds, but thats only because the morphine was converted into dipropionylmorphine, the bigger, beefier brother of diamorphine, so conversion factor of roughly 8xstarting material. So very halfarsed rough figure 0.7g to about the equivalent of a bit over 2g. Not too bad for 15-20minutes work not counting drying it off.

Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

cleaned the house, mailed out stuff, shopped, brought Carla her lunch time coffee, browsed the bookstore, went over checking account statement, and yoga in the morning to start!   8)

Do you need to get a 4x4 or just stick to pavement?

No, no intention of ever getting a 4x4. This was just a one-off error of road surface judgement, seriously.

In other news I washed the car today and it looks fabulous. May need to blacken the tyres a bit later though.

Even better I found out the repairers replaced my front bumper last week because all the scrapes on the bottom of it are gone. I can start with a clean slate and stick something protective on the bottom of it now  :2thumbsup:

Listened to Carla and Amber complain and then resolve their problems with their new smart phones....... :GA:  I am SO GLAD I kept my old fashioned Trac phone with a flip up screen.    8)
