I just returned a bit ago from carrying her all around the neighborhood trying to find if anyone was missing her or knew where she came from.

No one within a four block radius has claimed any knowledge of her. I guess she might be mine or more likely the other way around. Only problem is that I already have a really jealous, bitchy girlfriend/cat.

My favourite dog is staying with us for the next four days. We're dog-sitting.

Do you find it hard at all, to tell people what to do Parts? I can imagine it would be hard to deal with such ridiculously inept workers.

It's easy to tell people what to do it's not so easy to get them to understand and do it.

Worked with people who didn't know what they are doing, and didn't want to listen to me about what to do even though the owner of the other company brought me in to show them and get the project back on track.  It was so bad at times I had to walk away to keep from laughing
That seems odd; figure they would be on edge and attentive. When the big boss starts bringing in outsiders to fix a mess, workers should definitely be on edge and attentive.

I've seen this sort of thing firsthand. People are sometimes surprisingly stupid.
On thinking of it, have seen it too. There's two departments near mine; both used to be very relaxed and noisy with casual conversations. Both have seen management shifts and changes with new outsiders brought in. One department still seems a bit too relaxed at times considering a new middle management position was created to deal with their issues. The other department is quiet, very on edge and attentive.

Sometimes micromanagement will provoke that sort of behaviour. People stop making their own decisions when there's some middle-management idiot meddling with everything.

I'm really glad I no longer work in such a place.

Or people make their own sensible decisions, and then management makes a mess of it. And people only want to be sensible when management is not around, because it is in vain to be sensible when management is around.

Evidentially they also stop goofing around and making so much unnecessary noise. Good.

Blew in just under 3000 pounds of cellulose insulation at the same apartments I was working on the other day.  The other crew I was showing what to was a no show and I think I will be there with just my guy till it's all done

Got one kid out of bed, and on her way to school. She'll be home very late tonight.
Put an extra cover on other kid, she was so tense in her bed that it looked like she could do with one.
Catered cats.

Time to plan the day, it is a few minutes after 7 am.

Interviewed with a very prestigious insurance defense firm.  It went really well.  They brought me in despite the fact that they have no current openings, and I am "on the top of the pile" for when they do get one.  With 17 lawyers, it's inevitable that someone will eventually leave.  If that happens between now and when I am sworn in next May, I should be hearing from them.
