Got my new license plate! I was stressed as heck because I missed the grace period by one day and I was expecting to get sent away to do yet another inspection, but to my shock the guy at the counter overlooked it.

Planted some things in the little garden out front.
Listened to music with WolFish.

Met up with family at a park for a barbecue. Mother's Day. Mum really liked the present I got her - a large blue and white ornamental chook.

Picked up a secondhand spin dryer for Mel from a couple of towns away. Chased a ferret out of my kitchen - a lad had followed it from the next street and was trying to catch it, it wriggled free and shot in through my front door and hid under the freezer. Came out to drink from the dog's water bowl though and submitted to being picked up placidly enough. Cute little fella, likely someone's escaped pet.  :lol1:

Teehee. Wish I had taken a picture of it, it is really quite an ornate chook/chicken. Mum is into blue and white stuff (her dinner set is blue and white) so when I found the chook I bought it immediately.

Dragged myself out of bed. Had a shower. Dragged kids out of bed and got both of them to school.
Sent a couple of mails. Checked finances. Mowed my tiny lawn. Trimmed the edges. Got laundry machine working for me.

I slept in, but I woke up cheerful and called my lil bro. He is building a club house out of wood, fyi.

Then I spent sometime out in the backyard with my dog.

Yesterday I did a bit of yard work, today I biked to the store and got my mom some juice. I met her on the way home (she was walking her dog), so I rode my bike along with her so we could spend that time together.

Now I am going to re-read an essay for an application I am submitting. My brother gave me feedback which I didn't agree with but I am going to consider it anyways.

Had the gas meter installed and the gas turned on.  We can now cook and have hot water.
