Went to a house I worked on in 1992 and pulled out the insulation I had put in and prepped it for a new insulation upgrade

If you had used crappier insulation and seeded the walls with mice, you could have gotten back there much quicker.  :viking:

The guy doing most of the work thinks the inspectors have it in for us.  He put in R-19 insulation in the attic.  He had to replace it with R-30.  I think we're going to be quite cool and toasty.

There have been changes in the last few years in the codes, R-30 was standard here until a few years ago then it became 38 and now it's moving to 49 in some houses depending on how they are built.

Called the plumber and arranged for the work next week.
The kitchen countertop is in and will be delivered next week (3 phone calls)
Cashed a refund check
Phone call to the man doing the lion's share of work on the house
Put gas in the car
Washed and dried a load of clothes
Straightened out a billing problem
Changed our address at the post office
Took PA to 2 lab appointments and a doctor appointment - all within 90 minutes
Picked up dinner

The only thing l forgot to do was to return some drawer pulls.

Spent the last 12 hours in the ER with my daughter. They suspect    appendicitis so she is staying for observation. :(

Went with oldest to a nearby town for an art route.

Some museums, some shops, and lots of houses were open for public. In all the open spaces an artist was having an exhibition. Was in the centre of a mediaeval town, so not only the artworks, also the houses were a pleasure to see. There was only one artist that I really did not like. Some things were absolutely awesome.
The organisation did a good job in matching houses and art.

Very nice way to spend the afternoon.
