Good question.

No. I don't think that any of the chains are ethical in their treatment if labor here in America or abroad.
But you have to start somewhere if the system is going to bend.  Might as well boycott the biggest abuser.
Friend me on Facebook and you'll quickly learn that Walmart is my thing.

You only answered one of my questions.  :P   Where do you buy clothes and housewares?

we mostly shop at Costco.  Sometimes at old navy and kohls.
Target is convenient and we shop there periodically.  They do make health benefits available to their employees and pay more and offer more hours.

Misunderstood.

I love Costco.  They offer full time. Health. Pension. 401k and pay twice as much hourly as Walmart does.
Ad, they are more profitable per store on average.
You can give yor employees livable wages and be profitable.

I read an article where the CEO only takes something like $200 grand in salary.  A good example, I think.

It's all about location here.

WalMart 3 miles.
Dollar General 3 miles.

Target 12 miles.
Costco not sure where the hell one of those is.
Kohls maybe 20 miles.

I am a spazzy recluse that doesn't like going out at all, I have a 5-7 mile "safety zone" where I feel the most comfortable...and it doesn't help that the :icequeen: gets about 12-13 mpg.

I want a grease car.

If I could find a diesel that wasn't beat to shit and afford to do the conversion I would.
Cheap fuel and a car that smells like french fries. :autism:

Today I took the bus to Wal-Mart and spent two hours and lots of   :dollar:   buying shoes, clothes, bedding,
and other needed things to replace my shabby old stuff.  Now a load of my new clothing is whirling in the dryer!

Did you buy the drapes you wanted?

Got up, got one kid to school, with a letter why she had not done her homework. Posted here, waited till the time was right to call the school of the other kid, telling them she was having a fever.
Had meds, lots of fluids, and even something to eat to keep meds down too.
