Overslept 45 minutes, yet, managed to get the oldest fed and well out of the door in time.
Had a cup of tea too.

Oh, and did the usual cat catering.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

I could send some root division cuttings of the balm if you or the PR want some btw QV. Its easy to grow, and like any of the mint family, it spreads liked wildfire with no care whatsoever.

Thanks for the info about the lemon balm tea.  I'll think on it.  I'm not sure she'd drink it even if highly sweetened.

It tastes absolutely wonderful. Very citrusy, lemony fragrance.

I find myself grabbing handfuls just to crush up and inhale the fragrance, 'tis delightful. I'm sure the PR would love the stuff.

And with honey, it is absolutely lovely.

And bees LOVE it. Indeed, its often named 'bee balm' for its tendency to attract swarms of the buggers.

Okay, there seems to be some confusion in the names.  "Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), not to be confused with bee balm (which is genus Monarda), is a perennial herb in the mint family Lamiaceae, native to southern Europe and the Mediterranean region."   I should be able to get either one from a local nursery.

Need to do some more research on dosage, how often to take, etc.

Melissa is also called bee balm.

And dosage-not fussy or sensitive, I don't weigh it, I just grab enough to fill a liter jug, add hot water and honey, infuse, and drink like tea or coffee.

Its mild, yet highly effective, but suitable for ingestion as a beverage, also, as opposed to a drug. I drink it by the liter, with no ill effects (although I do have seizures, and take chlormethiazole, which is a potent, barbiturate/neurosteroid site agonist at GABAaRs, so I have a crosstolerance to GABA-TA inhibitors im sure) but balm is about as non-hazardous as you can get.)

Actually, i really reccomend chlormethiazole. Its a hell of an antiseizure med. GABA agonist, as stated IIRC either barb binding site or neurosteroid site agonist, not a teratogen. Potent, does have a very steep dose response curve though, unlike benzos, an overdose can easily prove lethal. And DO NOT FUCKING DRINK ALCOHOL ON THIS STUFF, it has a specific potentiating effect. Enough, despise my tolerance to GABAergics, to make a single shot of spirit render me unconscious.

Got my meds. Got my script improved
Changed from the antiemetic hyoscine patces (synonym for scopolamine)
As they are a real sod to keep on, they keep falling off), and low dose, 1 and a bit milligrams released over 3 days, to 10mg/3x daily.

Before the chlormethiazole kicked in though, I fitted. Smacked my nose against my computer. Repeatedly.
And lost a bottle of codeine cough mixture, although thankfully hust teh crappy cheap low concentration stuff. Lost it as I took the bottle, and ralphed up mere minutes later.

Woke up at 11:30 (insomnia - the perks of being retired means I can sleep to almost noon), b'fast, fed family lunch, grocery, deposited a check, house chores, Intensified.
