^You're awesome. :)

Our biggest problem with cleaning is the floor. It seems to be always in need of sweeping. Only ten minutes after I've swept and washed it, it has dirt on it again. It's light grey so that's the problem I think. Also, the floor layers left glue on the floor in some places and it shows up as dirty even after I've scrubbed it.

I have a love/hate relationship with out floors. It probably wouldn't be as bad if there weren't a dog going in and out a gozillion times per day. The tile is a light creamy tan color so it shows everything. When the floors were Sugarbutt's job, he vacuumed everyday. When the vacuuming became hard for him, that's when I bought the robovac. It's a cheap robovac but we love it. I still sweep the kitchen every night after dinner cleanup because the robovac runs in the morning and the dog uses the backdoor by the kitchen all day.

Have you tried removing the glue? Something like Goo Gone might work, or maybe something simple like rubbing alcohol. Best to try in an inconspicuous spot first though and rinse it off well. I ruined the lens on our last robovac trying to remove glue residue with acetone. :aff:

^ That last sentence - whoops!

We have this stuff called Oomph over here. I tried a small spot and found that it removes the varnish off the vinyl tiles. Won't do that again! I also tried kitchen wipes and it seems they work but then the dirt comes back. It's only in my room that I have the problem and it's in hard to reach places.

Thinking of getting a robovac. We have two cats that go in and out all day.

Spent some time between scattered rain to rid my garden of thistles. Will never finish!

I have not had time to be here and mention much lately, but about three weeks ago we had a huge failure of trusted cabinetry fall off the wall.
A twelve foot section of six cabinets we had been using, in good faith, as a pantry extension just fell down one day.

We lost about five hundred dollars worth of canned goods and glass canned items like pickles, sauces and jams, but so many crushed cans we had to throw out most of it.

Fell on my desktop computer and trashed the case. Still worked after some goofing with it, but he DVD drive was crushed. Had another, replaced it. Works fine, just ugly. I'm not the best body man when it comes to dents.

Easy to figure why the failure happened. Most of the mounting screws went into plastic wall anchors, instead of directly into solid wall studs. We did not know this!!

Anyway, my plan was to forget cabinets, although they were an elegant touch, and just put up open shelving.

I got all the brackets properly mounted into the wall studs. If I attempt to add up to total capacity of the four, twelve foot shelves, using the large brackets I chose, these shevles will support about three thousand pounds of goods.

That's WAY more than what canned goods will weigh!!

So, today, we got rid of the makeshift, temporary free standing shelf we used for pantry goods for three weeks and got the permanent shelving organized the way Wife wants things to be.

Laddering is a problem for me. Last time I was up much on a ladder we were moving and I fell and broke my arm in three places. Took ages to heal!

Today, I am finished with this episode!

My real life is limited at the moment. Yet that's fine... I don't have many social outlets to begin with.
