I finished the outdoor cleaning. :hadron: I'd still like to do some cleaning and tidying in the shed, but that's at the bottom of the priority list and can wait until after the holidays if I don't get to it before then.  :dunno:

I did my Saturday housework. :hadron: Now the garage is done, I also vacuumed and mopped in there, adding that room to the weekly routine. I probably should have dusted in there too but maybe tomorrow. I didn't work outside like I planned to today because it was wicked hot. It's cooled off a bit now but I feel like I've done enough and I don't want to.  :dunno:

I dust my garage with a leaf blower.

I do have to mop sometimes, though. It's still a work space and I like a clean place to work. "Clean"  being a term which is relative to the requirements of a project.

Sanding wood? Wow, very loose usage of the term. Measuring and layouts? I bit more like what clean actually means.
Preparing to reload a batch of ammunition? Clean means like we could set the bench up for a meal instead.

Our garage is more of a mancave. It does have some utility type things, but there's also a walk-in closet sized room off the garage with the hotwaterheater and most of the tools whatnots are stored in there, plus there's a shed outside for other garage type things. There's a pool table, darts, a stereo/sound system, seating, and the walls are covered with various memories and unique things Sugarbutt has collected over time. It had been neglected for years because of his health, but I never felt comfortable doing anything about it because that's his space and his stuff. Now everything is clean and there's fresh coat of paint everywhere, so I'm going to start cleaning it weekly like any other room in the house. I think the idea of me taking over that space bothered him at first, but now that it's done and looks so nice, he seems to like and appreciate it.
And yeah, someone could totally eat in there.  :lol1:

I cleaned the pantry. :hadron: I don't actually have a pantry but we do have plenty of otherwise useless cabinet space in the laundry room, so that's perfect for a pantry since it's right next to the kitchen. I pulled everything out and wiped down the cabinets inside and out. I was pleased to only find two things to throw away. I can't standing wasting food but I also like to always have at least a one month supply, so I'm careful to only stock up on the things we buy the most often. If something expires, then I simply don't buy it again unless someone specifically asks for it. I will have to replace Sugarbutt's emergency drinks in February. They're a little pricy, but I'm happy to toss them because it will mean he hasn't been throwing up sick for a year.

Went to church, had lunch with Mom and a religious college professor and his wife (the kinds of people who don't treat me like an idiot mind you), went for a walk with Mom and Louie... now I'm back home hiding in the basement.

Went for a walk after the rain stopped and picked up more garbage, as well as from the cemetery!

Volunteered at the Salvos. I was wondering why it hurt my thighs whenever I crouched down to pick things up. Then I realised - I spent a lot time yesterday picking up vine remnants from Kayleigh's clipping. It needed doing, it's one invasive vine.

I just used the phrase "vicissitudes of telephone tag" in an email, so suffice to say I'm doing pretty great

That's why our two cats have a curfew. There are some cruel people out there.
