I don't want this comment to turn into anything political so, just take it at face value. Laugh a little, if you can.
We ordered a couple of pizzas today, just too hot out there to do our typical fire pit meal on Sunday.
You know "things" are not great when the pizza delivery guy is a forty something, well dressed, arriving in a Mercedes and ringing my doorbell.
I would love to say that it was the best pizza ever, but...
I gave him a $20 tip anyway. Obviously he is navigating harder times than we are.
The fact that my wife drives for UPS and may be about to go on strike next month has not affected us yet.
The understanding is (only barely hitting the news) is a plan to offer early retirement to the tenured workers as a way to help with the demands of higher pay for incoming hirees.

It sucks to feel like we are in limbo again. But I felt like taking care of the pizza driver today, no matter what happens.
