What have you done today? (Pt 2)

It was only like 1m long. At first (walking without my glasses on) I thought it was a disposed piece of rubber, like from a delaminated bike tyre, but it was a little too wavy and slinky.
It wasn't there when walked back past so I my eyes definitely weren't playing tricks on me.

I do wonder why you were walking without your glasses on, heh.

Also, now I remember walking with my mum near the local estuary and she spotted a dugite crossing the path and ran in the opposite direction really fast. She doesn't like snakes.

I only wear my glasses at work and while driving. They're merely handy for everything else but I hate the feeling of them when my face is sweaty (and I'm a bit of a clean freak with my glasses too).

Today I did my laundry and washed the car.

The bush track at the bottom of my estate was finally dry enough to pass, so I went walking, 2.5km and back. Came across a red belly black snake. What can you do but keep walking.

Wow! I have not seen a snake in the wild since I was primary school age, and I'm 50 now.

We have lots of snakes here, but they are usually garter snakes/grass snakes. Only rarely see a poisonous snake and they are in the woods mostly.

I washed the cars this morning. I cleaned the insides yesterday, so that made both days seem like it wasn't very much work. I might do that for now on. When I was getting ready, sugarbutt told me there is a 40% chance of rain today. I said there's a 100% chance of rain eventually, and the cars will still be dirty if I don't clean them.  its been a month since they were last done so they really needed it.

My grandmother had one of those old farmhouses with the stone foundation and they used to get in quite a bit. She would never wear her glasses. She was in her 70's when she saw a black belt laying on the floor in the coat closet, picked it up and flipped it in a drawer.

It wasn't a belt, and it wasn't too happy about being tossed around.

during my trash pick up walk I found 6 baseballs, a little wet with dome mud on them.  Cleaned them off and now I will let them dry and put them in my Goodwill donation box,  They are in good condition, just right for kids to toss around have a pickup game with.  Also found a long piece of metal roofing, that, is destined for the metal recycling yard in a nearby town.

I finished the last of the wrapping. It's not technically the last of it because I have one more thing arriving on Monday. It's a last minute impulse idea I had for Sugarbutt.  I also ran out of gift tags, and I need to buy a couple of boxes for the gifts that have to be shipped but I've run out of time. I'll have to figure out how to get some gift tags and boxes delivered, because I'll grocery shop twice between now and Christmas, but other than that I'm simply not going into another store this year.

Bought a few presents. Cleaned my wife's company car inside and out - she's supposed to get a new one next week. Bought dinner from a fancy burger place in the city.

I did a big grocery shop and now everything is stocked and organized for another two weeks. I also picked up some rocks in the front yard. We had some digging going on earlier this year, and now stones are settling to the surface. Squatting is a really bad position for me, so I'll just have to work on them a little at a time.

Complained to my mother about why I'm so lonely.

Finished  the xmas decorations..................praise the Nimon.

Threw out some garbage.

I did my usual Saturday chores and I also did a deep dust in the house. I still need to do the boy's room and I'll do that in the morning.
