Got a battery for my daughter's car. She rarely uses it, so I am commandeering it for my personal use (to her benefit). I have tried to get her to keep the battery charged through this very cold snap we have had, but to no avail. I can not even get her to start it every day and just keep the battery charged.
So a discharged lead acid battery will begin to eat itself from the inside, as we all know. Hers has done so.
But I will have to drive her car this week while my car is being fixed.
Last month when we got that blast of snow, my car was rear ended by a snow plow, of all things. Thankfully, I saw it coming and moved forward as far as I could to allow the thing to stop, but it was not enough. It took out my driver's side tail light and dented my rear door.
Now I am ready to suffer from a week or so of driving a small car while my nice big comfortable car is being repaired.
