Kind of toiled by the inevitable fall of hard copy sales, yet ever diminishing and of music itself going away, was I not? I was ahead of my time, in a way.

Still AM!!! I can link the latest RIAA sales numbers if you are unsure as to whether or not to believe me.

... but today I was looking for something to play that I had not heard in a while.

I chose this Blue Oyster Cult phenomenon on vinyl.



This is old school hard concert rock, done in the studio. I love it!


... OH!    ...   and I can recommend it to any who still enjoys guitar rock. They generally use three or more guitar parts.

Except for a few excursions into classical guitar, I have been in a self induced Beatles coma for more than a month.

I bought the entire librarycollection back when it had just been released as a set of re-mastered albums. I bought it in stereo, first, but after listening to a "friend's"  mono recording, I bought the mono collection as well. I like both, but the mono is better for low level listening, none other even approaches the clarity of this mix at low level. 
However, when you want to shake the floor with ancient music, the Stereo version is the best choice.

Nothing like walking into two different stores within 10 minutes and hearing madonna singing songs from her debut album from 30+ years ago!    :P  (walmart and Good Will)   A time that she was actually relevant!

Yes!  New info!  New album comes out in Spring (it was originally supposed to come out in the first half of 2015- I've been impatient).  I really hope they tour the US- right now, only posted tour dates are in Germany.

Went to an event last year (spring/summer) Tom Shear Dj'ed at... unsurprisingly, he picked the best songs, lol.  If A23 comes within an hour's drive, I'll schedule vacation time around seeing them (frankly, probably within 2 hours' drive).  I like their music but the boyfriend's a big giant fan so he'd probably be more willing to make a road trip of it than I would (though realistically the major cities bands are most likely to hit *are* within an hour of me).
