College Football Thread, 2011 Edition

Well, one of my favorite teams, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, is off to a good start in their new conference, the Big 10.

They beat Chattanooga 40-7 (granted that isn't a tough school) then they beat Fresno State 42-29. Fresno State is the team that beat USC last year (or the year before IIRC).

Today, they play Washington State, who is usually a tough team. They're slowly building up to playing the toughest teams in the Big 10, Wisconsin and Ohio Sate.

In other news, the Oregon Ducks didn't start out too well with a 27-40 loss to #4 ranked LSU but then last week, beat the Nevada Wolf Pack 69-20. Today they play Missouri State.

I've always found it strange how Americans often support College sports teams.

Our colleges do have teams, but nobody supports them, and they would never get any media attention.

Thay're actually a pretty good team, comming from a second tier school.

They've taken down top ten teams before.

Army, Navy and Air Force teams suffer from the fact that they don't have any 300+ lb linemen to play in a traditional sense.
