is it really okay to make them cry, for a movie?
is there some sort of procedure for it?
a baby cant act, so either it cries cus its hungry, or scared, or in discomfort, either way, theyre making a baby sad, for the purpose of entertainment. just now, in some movie, they were yelling angrily, while holding a crying baby. the baby cant differ between reality and acting, and is exposed to a frightening scenario.
we treat animal "actors" way better, and make sure they are never truly frightened anytime during recording.
i realize there isnt that much of an alternative, but that goes for many types of scenario, for example, the convincing-appearing killing of animals in a movie. it simply doesnt get done, cus killing animals for a movie is illegal. theyll have to make due with puppets, or computer graphics, and simply just accept it.
(that doesnt stop PETA for mistaking a one-piece-mold fake animal for the real thing tho

oh, i love those guys)
