Oh I couldn't mix the two foods like that. Must be separate!

When I was young I ate my food one item at a time until done then moved on to the next item.

I still eat my dinner like that (unless it is something like a burger or spaghetti or something like that). I eat the foods I like least first and save the foods I like most for last.
