If the hypothetical candidate could physically do the job, then I think he should be allowed to do the job.  I don't believe that absolute weight limits are fair because that would be sizeism.

I know a woman who was a fire fighter but she was a tiny bit over the weight limit at a weigh-in and I think that was unfair for the department to fire her if she failed to lose the weight as long as she could still pass the physical requirements of the job.
