Entertainment is almost always a good thing. :orly:

Unless it's later series of good shows that have their rights bought out by idiots who don't know how to write a plot and don't really care, such as Stargate Universe and Star Trek Enterprise.

I hear that you are quite popular on the dating sites, OKCupid and MySpace.  I think that's awesome.  I understand your wife is hot to trot ;)

Not in the least.

Poor, stupid parakeet  :(

Nope, you don't realize what I mean.

That you're actually married to a man?  :zoinks:

Nope, that I already knew about the fake profiles made of me.

I liked Star Trek TNG better than the original, never watched Enterprise. I never have watched the Stargate series.

I hated TNG. The original I grew up with.

Fake?  I know there were some fake ones previously, but these say they were just created today.  Now I am confused  ???

Well, I liked TNG, but it was the one I grew up watching so perhaps it is for more a reason of nostalgia than anything else.

TNG was always about how to replace Kirk, Spock and McCoy. They never did it but god knows they tried.

For me, not having seen the TOS prior to the next generation, I only saw the characters of TNG and not who they were attempting to mimic.

All they did was to redistribute the traits.

Ah. But how would someone who had never seen the TOS be able to recognize that?

They wouldn't. Which is why TNG works well for a new generation of Trekkies.

He wouldn't.  He would think he was watching something unique to the entertainment of everyone watching him talk about it.

I wonder how often this will be done.

Don't think it's possible to do it again. Times have changed too much. There will be something new to replace Star Trek with.

I suppose, Enterprise pretty much wrecked the show, and Abrams ran it over.
