That stuff would be great, if you were in an apartment with limited space.
The murphys are a good idea for guests in a spare room that's used as an office. The minimalist design appeals to my own taste but wouldn't really want a bed that needed to be put away every day.
When I was in Japan I saw that a lot of people put away their futons into a cupboard every day when they got up. And in my hotel room I had to do the same. I suppose the people there are very used to doing that though.
