Eh, I filter through what I believe to be wrong and pick out the good bits of both topics. I should have been clear on that. I don't just believe everything I read.
A lot of religious text doesn't make sense to me, but there are still good bits. Regarding philosophy, not all of it is good either. I especially don't trust something also just because a famous person said it. Having said that, I think Hitler said some wise things, but obviously I didn't like most of what he said.
Regarding religious texts, I liked what John Cleese said, the man from a group who ripped the piss out of religion and the way people follow it to the letter. He said that religion often had very intelligent founders, but that people took what they said far too literally. I think Monty Python was great because it pointed out how people typically act and behave around different subjects (especially like sheep even if who they were following wasn't that bright, but they viewed them still as an authority), a major one being religion. I think the group of people behind Monty Python were very observant.
