They were great. In the end I was gluing the soles back together regularly and colouring the faded black parts with permanent marker - I think I extended their life by about 2 years!

If its support you want, try newrock boots. They make plenty different ones, I've got a pair that come up to a bit below the knee, leather zip-ip boots with big heavy platform soles about 4.5 inch thick, metal plates on the heel and toe. Weren't exactly cheap but they are really comfy.

Feeling very wet. It has rained most every day for over a week.Not sure what it means but I saw a line of animals marching two by two today.
