I admit..ahem, often as not I'll work things to end up with the bare minimum of cutlery and plates, cups etc. to wash after eating. Like when I've come back from a long days hike in the forests, I'll just toss my cleaned mushrooms into the pan (after identifying of course, there is something one just simply does not cut corners with, if one wishes to have a long, fruitful, enjoyable and importantly survivable mycological foraging hobby.
No need for a clean plate, just throw in the frying pan with a bit of butter, a splash of whatever sauces or accompaniments are appropriate for the species/recipe, and I'm happy enough just to eat them out of the frying pan with a fork when they finish cooking.
