Sleepy, and  much better than I was. I've been overloading an awful lot lately. Managed to get my meds quite a lot earlier, and thankfully, I managed to get my doc to increase my dose of clonidine (an adrenal blocking agent of sorts, that rather than simply blocks the target receptors as a beta  blocker would for instance, acts  to decrease the release of (nor)adrenaline).

I guess he realized that I wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer, having asked every week for several months I managed to talk him into more than doubling it, and I'm now on 50 micrograms 3x/daily. Best thing I have ever taken for being overstimulated, it will stop even the worst overloads dead in the water.

Saw a different GP to my regular one this time, not one I feel entirely comfortable around either, for some reason. She hadn't realized that the small nitrazepam rx that I'd asked my regular doc for last time I saw him, was just a couple of days worth, and gave me a refill without my asking, lol. Didn't even realize she had until I actually had got home and emptied the bag from the pharmacy that my meds came in.

I'd just asked my regular GP the last time I saw him for enough to bring me out of the badly overloaded state I was in at the time, but hey, I am not about to complain. Always handy to have a couple of doses of benzos around if needed.

Confident that the latter is going to be a quick bitch indeed. Physiotherapist already did a good job, new session is planned in.

Foggy.  Tired.  Blah.  Hoping I am not sick.  Kind of considering just going to bed in the middle of the afternoon, once I get all my other stuff done.   :zombiefuck:

I've been feeling really badly overstimulated lately. Not sure why, realized not long ago that I don't think its an overload as such, there have been no psychological triggers or unusual stress levels. But my body keeps going into what feels as though its a sustained fight/flight response.

I'm bloody glad my clonidine dose was upped, I don't think I could cope with many more of these otherwise. Just popped a 5mg nitrazepam pill under my tongue (sublingual is a good route for benzos IMO, as the very richly vascularized mucosa under the tongue allow for speedy absorption)

Feel a lot better after that, and my night time dose of chlormethiazole will help as soon as it starts working. Shot a few OCs earlier, which helped ease it big time. Opioids for some reason actually work better on these overstimulation periods than benzos, chlormethiazole, or other GABAergic sedatives.  Just about to do another one, so I can lie back in bed and read my book in peace without being bothered by this damnable overstimulation.

Exhausted both physically and emotionally. Have been up for for 20 hours already plus 6 hours of driving on top of a very social weekend that was emotionally charged. Talk about a recipe for disaster. So relieved the oldest and I decided to push ourselves a bit further and get our grocery shopping done tonight after dropping off his sister. The store was not nearly as busy and now we can stay home and recuperate tomorrow and not have to leave until we pick up the youngest from school.

Just be careful miss K, and avoid driving while sleep deprived if at all possible. Make sure to get at least a few hours sleep before driving, as sleep deprivation seriously slows rxn timing,

I'd hate to see you hurt.
