I think you've confused me with the other Miss. I wasn't on all fours last night.  :zoinks:

Posting here. Taking a break from reading up on eye surgery alternatives.

See anything that you like?  (Ouch!  Sorry.)

:P

I've not given up completely yet. There's a method similar to cataract surgery where they add a lens in front of the natural one that might be an option.

Online...listening to a band called 'and also the trees' on jewtube. Burned one turned me on to them, kick arse band...kind of reminds me a little of fields of the nephilim.

Also doing some research into esters of oxycodone. I had the idea of the 3,6-dipropionyl ester of oxycodone, similar to how the diacetyl ester of morphine is a lot more lipophilic, has a greater rush when IV'ed, and by far greater potency. Dipropionylmorphine is, IIRC, about twice as potent as diacetylmorphine,

But to me at least, esters of oxycodone are an unknown. SAR says that it should bee quite a bit more potent than the parent compound.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

How important is "the rush" in treating your debilitating knee pain?

It isn't, MLA. But if I am going to shoot, and design something new, I might as well come up with something as enjoyable as possible. Oxy gives me a nice nod when used IV, but there is surprisingly, almost zero rush, at least, at 80mg IV, although there is some, although little, at 120mg IV.

Better at 180, but I can't spare that much really, other than very occasionally. Docs here are too damn timid when it comes to treating pain, and I ALWAYS get left with not nearly adequate pain relief. I'm sick of having to walk slowly, with a cane if I can go our at all, or otherwise, as I spend most days, stuck lying in bed on my good side.

And now, it is my hip thats the worst, not my knee. Both are hideously painful, but my hip makes it so I can't walk at all at times, unless I do shoot up. Oral OC doesn't cut it, at least at the dose I am on.

Recently I almost got stuck in town, when I decided I was going to go out. I had to buy quite a bit of codeine cough mixture from several different pharmacies, and then go to the nearby head shop to buy kratom and a legal cannabinoid-based smoking blend. Stopping every few steps to try and sit down, it felt like somebody was hammering red hot nails into my knee, and my hip felt like it was full of broken glass. I'm fed up of it, docs not doing enough. Hopefully the pain clinic I am due to see, will know what they are doing in terms of opioids, and not be a bunch of frit little pussies.

That was on the verge of being scary. I wasn't sure if I was  going to be able to get back to the tram stop and get home.
