Ignoring the cat.  she doesn't like the brand of cat food I bought.  Well, she can eat it or starve.  No special treatment.

I washed towels today.  The drying towels first, then the wash cloths.  A whole big hamper full.  The dried rather quickly in the heat.

Ah, thanks. Might be you already gave me that link before. Not so sure.. 'cause that was on my old (it died) laptop. Saved link then.. like I'll do in a sec too.

Favourite here is a site (plus TV show) made by a Flandrian chef. Jeroen Meus, my age.. but that's pretty useless info for you, I reckon.

Um, reading about stews on w³.allrecipes.com now.. making notes.

Thing with a good stew.. is patience.. and (quite) low heat under the pan, I reckon.

I would think so. I make stews all the time but I use a slow cooker for mine so it's cooking for 8-10 hours on low heat. Gives a chance for all of the flavours to mix together and for the meat to soak everything in. So good. I made a potato minestrone last week that turned out excellent. Will have to make it again. I actually preferred it more the next day after it had thickened up.
