Think that the 'constant' innovating urge, in the shaving bizz, is driven by marketing in order to cash more. Methinks that marges, let's say, between actual cost to make the product and the prize the costumer pays is.. out of balance too.
Dunno, think the prize to make a latest model holder and for instance 4 blades (e.g. Gillette Fusion) is.. maybe a dollar/tadski more perhaps. I have to pay at least €10 for a set of 4 blades. Not sure but think the holder cost me also more than €10.
And this in a bizz where basically two big players divide the market between themselves. Dunno.. smells a tadski off. Smart big balled chap should break things open there and come up with something simpler, okay quality and yeah, way cheaper product. Bet Wilkinson and Gillette won't let that happen though.
