Trying to ignore the itching on my upper back. Insect bite, and sunburn.......

Stupid me, protected my face, checked my arms during gardening yesterday. Found out in the evening that my upper back (low neckline shirt) was fully red.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

That happens to me all the time. Do you have aloe vera for your burn?

Would be wise getting some of that. Chemist will be open by now I think. (they are not open on Monday mornings, I hope they are open on Monday afternoons)

You should grow some aloe vera .  It's a real easy plant to grow very difficult to kill

I forgot to get the cuttlings my daughters got from my brother inside for the winter, in time. They did not last.  :-\

When growing aloe vera yourself, how do you use it?

You pluck some it's very jelly like inside and rub it on the burn.

Exactly. Just break a piece off and it will regrow. Then squeeze out the gel from inside. I would start growing a new plant (or buy one from the store) and just keep it indoors year round. Just be careful your cats are not ones to try and eat plants. So many are poisonous to them.

My cats are street rescues. Somehow they know their way with plants. I do have clivias, those are poisonous, but, they have no inclination at all to chew on them. The all time cat favourite plant, I have out of their reach. Poor plant could not grow fast enough to undo the damage my neighbour cat did to her on a daily basis.  Neighbour cat also is a cat that knows what not to chew on.

^ Then there's my cat who was a feral rescue and will chomp (and promptly puke up) every plant in the house which is why I have none :P
