  My hair has split ends, lots of them!   

I had lots of split ends when I was younger and my hair was longer but not so much anymore. It's not so much damage right now, it's just really coarse and frizzy. My hair looks and feels like a mess even when it's at it's healthiest.

I'm considering a salon keratin treatment as a last resort but they're hell expensive (one of the ones that are free of those chemicals that give the stylist nose bleeds ). I could very well do one of the at home ones for $30 but I won't take the risk.

I wonder if it is to do with the warmer weather. My hair has been looking frizzy a lot lately too.

  It's getting colder where I live!      I should try a hot oil treatment.

Humidity can make hair really frizzy, yeah. Winter isn't too good either, having your hair get too dry and static. We just can't win no matter the season

Leave-in conditioner and trash the blow dryer.

Seriously, I gave up using a blow dryer (except in extreme emergencies) back in high school, no more split ends.

I wash it, towel it, put some conditioner in it, and go around with a towel wrapped on my head.

Was doing a load of wash and it became uneven, causing the washing machine to jump about. Apparently it jumped so far forward that I couldn't open the friggin laundry room door! It bounced a good foot forward and was pushed up against the door. After nearly having a meltdown (anxiety ridden day, last thing I needed, in that machine was my only bedding set to my own bed yadda yadda yadda) I went and got my mop, used the handle to push against part of the washer and rock it hard enough to get it over enough to open the door.

I feel smart. And now my laundry room door is staying OPEN while the machine is one. 

Is your machine well placed? Placing it really horizontal can prevent the jumping about for a lot of washing machines.

okay I'm completely stumped. What does "really horizontal" mean? Like more horizontal than it currently is? It's a top loader and in that room there's only space for three things. The washer, the dryer, and the sink that's in between the two.

She may mean plumb.

I'm still clueless. I'm sure she'll explain and then I'll get it and do this -->  because it would be completely obvious but it's just that I was having a    moment and you'll come back and do this -->  and then all will be right in the land of I2 again 

There's me not mastering English when it comes to more technical things.

With a lot of washingmachines you can make adjustments at the bottom of the thing, so that the surface on top is completely level/horizontal.
Washing machines are designed to be stable, when level. A disturbance in that makes the balance go all wonky, especially when spinning.

You could look for things that look like under the machine to adjust the machine till the surface on top is fully level.

My hair gets frizzy after I wash it with shampoo, no matter how much conditioner I use.  As long as I just use plain water on it and let my natural oils do their thing, it's fine frizz-wise.
