I fuckin' hate fruitflies. Ja, yes, ofc.. I keep the place clean (really).. try to keep fruit inside a cupboard/no open bottles/have bins with lids on/no food stuff that needs throwing away laying around/etc..  but ja, still those lousy bastards turn up somehow.

Another thing I hate about them is that a single one is quite hard to kill. They fly like some totally drunk dude walks.. very erratic/randomly changing course every second it seems.

I've heard that they live in the drain for the sink (?).  Maybe some boiling water poured there would help.  Also a delectable piece of past prime fruit in some vinegar with a few drops of dish washing liquid in a container with a very small opening (ice pick sized) in the top is supposed to attract them and trap them.  A tin can with cling wrap would work for this.

The cable holding the spare tire on my van broke today while I was driving dropping the spare in the middle of the street luckily it was on a side road near my house and not on the highway where it could have killed someone

Shortly after Katrina we were driving on an expressway when a truck in the left lane lost a ladder that wasn't tied down well enough.  It happened on the up side of an overpass and fortunately the truck stopped and was able to get the ladder before anyone ran into it.

If you want to get rid of flies, find (or buy online) some fly agaric mushrooms (Amanita muscaria. Quite unmistakeable, bright red cap covered in white warts, white gills, stem with annulus, no volva, but the base of the stipe is enlarged and bulbous.

Boil them in milk, leave the mixture in a bowl near the flies. They are attracted to a compound in the mushrooms, go to feed, and are poisoned, intoxicated by the muscimol content they fall into the milk, drown and die.

I used this recently when I had a bluebottle in my bedroom that I couldn't catch and release. Tried for ages, but I just couldn't catch the little fucking shit.

It isn't named the fly agaric for nothing. Very effective way to get rid of flies.

It's this spazzie brain of mine that sometimes 'refuses' to do proper English. Or ja.. my post, a couple of days ago, about me being also a tadski dyslexic is.. ja, true.  Shitty thing is that I know I can do better but.. in phases it goes ja.... Well, it takes more of an effort to do so then.

I think your English is better than mine at times. More expressive. I have noticed that my spelling is better when I read more fiction so I have started reading more now that I have time.

My quick bitch is that I failed a unit; Program Evaluation. I got 46% and needed 50% to pass. I have no idea if this means I have to do it again as I think it was an elective unit.
