I have Norton 360. I know it isn't the best one to have but it came free with the computer so I figured I may as well use it. It didn't pick up anything about the BSOD.

I use avast! and Malwarebytes.  Also have CCleaner and rkill for emergencies.

Hmm sounds like there are plenty to choose from. I used to used AVG Free and nothing else heh.

I remember the first computer security thing I had was called SpySweeper (I think) and that drove me nuts, always popping up when I was doing other things.

The AV software is unlikely to be the cause of the BSOD.
