Has so much to say lately he finds himself speechless, almost lost in a torrent of thoughts and emotions. Just the past few days has included the end of one of the most influential bands in his life (R.E.M.), a band he has been a Fan Club member of since the mid 80s; the all but end of one of the most hopeful baseball seasons of his beloved Red Sox that may have been saved by the bullpen in a marathon 14-inning win over their hated rivals that may actually be their ultimate demise as they struggle with a depleted bullpen in Baltimore the final 3 games; a wicked cold that knocked him on his ass for a few days and as someone who only gets really sick every 5 years or so despite living with 4 germ factories; a simple 5-hour drive to his lil-bro's wedding in NJ turn into a 10-hour epic adventure through a torrential downpour resulting in a parking lot of 95 and an out of the way detour through Allentown, PA having never gotten past Baltimore; and finally the return trip going from a smooth Sunday drive to a nightmare blownout tire in the left lane just north of...you guessed it, Baltimore, and just a couple feet on each side of the car to change a flat as traffic drove by at 75+ and the MD State Police NEVER showing up. Thankfully, the next exit had a Sears that wasn't too busy and a mall to keep the minions occupied. To top it off a group of bikers decided to do wheelies and stunts like riding with no hands while sitting on the handlebars of their bikes at 80 mph just south of Baltimore in front of my minions, which pisses me off. I mean, kill yourself you idiots but not in traffic where your bike and mangled body will cause the rest of us to swerve and possibly crash and end up dead or at least traumatize our children. Very glad to be home. Oh, and while I am ranting, Michael 'Dog Killer' Vick who recently signed a huge contract which is sickening enough in itself and a real shameful reflection on our society is complaining about fair treatment? Let's just say if I speak my mind on this subject I'd probably offend a lot of people with my choice of words. The man drowned dogs with his bare hands. In my book you NEVER get a second chance or forgiveness and lose all respect and any shot at 'fairness.'
