Well she lost so that is a bit of a punishment.
Personally I think it's about time the umpires and officials stood up to these primadonnas and put them back in their place.
They actually subbed what the drama queen was saying to the umpire while she was sitting down in the break. She is damn lucky I wouldn't have been umpiring, as I would have given her a code violation for dissent, and reported her. Next time she opened here mouth, she would default the match. She was already on probation anyway.
And the others who grunt or scream during points should be punished as well. Their hystrionics are masking the sound of the ball coming off the racquet, and also the line calls. The men can be just as bad, too, so it's not just the women. If the crowd has to be silent during points, then why not the players?
Rod Laver and Margaret Court didn't have to put up with the likes of some of these players.
