I have to make phone calls - two to charities I donate to, asking that I cease payments to them as I won't be able to afford them. And one to the company I have my contractor insurance with asking for my money back (I had renewed the insurance last week). I'm not looking forward to it.

Thanks all. I'm still going to volunteer at the Salvos. I don't know if I should look for another job straight away. I want to get the house sorted. Kayleigh is a bit of a hoarder and I'd like to see if I can convince her to do away with some of her stuff.

I certainly wouldn't put my life on pause, holding my breath in hopes Sugarbutt would get rid of some stuff. Thank goodness we have an attic and garage. Maybe you can convince her to rent a storage unit so at least it's out of your face. They probably haven't told you yet about your job ending because you might find something else right away and leave them before they're done with you.  Good luck finding a new job.

My boss made an appointment with a client for yesterday a week or so ago, forgetting that he'd be away seeing other clients down south.
We reminded him twice that the appointment needed rescheduling and he said he'd deal with it.
The client turned up for their appointment yesterday, and guess who had to take it instead because boss forgot to ring them...?

And the way he gave me thanks today was to scrutinise me and my time sheets.

Why is it that I have to account for every 6 minutes of my day, but he can go AWOL whenever he wants with nobody knowing where the fuck he is?

I have to stay behind with my bills this month so I can get my car rego paid. I'm fending off the wolves, and his response is to make me feel like I don't deserve better than that.
I'll go get what I need elsewhere then. Good luck training the new girl by yourself.
