We have a saying in Texas... "Stand your ground and don't draw before they do."
Not 100% sure all that applies, but the Stand Your Ground part certainly does.
You have established that you are done with this. Do not falter. Keep your feet planted.
Let the wind do the rest!
Yet when you rearrange certain letters from Texas you still get Taxes.
Two different languages of origin, but what are you talking about?
No correlation, I am sure.
Texas does not even have income taxes as we do here in IN and IL.
Texas tax collection is more based upon spending than personal income, as all taxes should be.
No one should be taxed upon what they can do to earn more for themselves. Only when you spend those earnings should those dollars be taxed!
Maybe the sales tax on certain goods in Texas scares some weak kneed businesses, but over all, NO INCOME TAX on what you earn for yourself.
Go out and buy another boat or a Corvette and yeah, you get hit for being so damn rich down in that "ignorant southern" state, but no personal or business income taxes whatsoever! For businesses, this frees up earnings to be used for research or building the business infrastructure.
That one thing about Texas taxes is bigger than many can even understand. Only few other states have shown such wisdom in their tax collection practices.
I only mentioned the old Texas saying because it was a way I could relate my thinking to your troubling situation.
Texas born and raised here, me. Yep, I carry a gun here in Indiana.
Had to come all the way up north to Indiana to find a nice shapely Dutch girl to marry up with.
We have drinking age kids living at home still.
I feel like I have won a few throws in this life game.
My message remains. Stand your ground.
