My washing machine died late yesterday. It got to the spin cycle and then cut out like the supply of power was turned off. It did this a number of times (I tried it). There was no way I could afford to get this fixed.

Good thing my parents bought me a new washing machine a couple of years ago when they thought I would be moving out on my own. They didn't factor Kayleigh into the equation. New washing machine has been in the storage room since we moved in. Old washing machine will be kept out the back until verge collection (I call it junk out the front). New(ish) machine is in place in the laundry and has already done a load of washing.

Connecticut repealed the sales tax exemption for insulation so all my materials cost 6.35% more starting tomorrow,  I will pass it on in my new prices but will have to take the loss on jobs under contract :thumbdn:

I just ripped up the carpet outside the bathroom and the underpay is all wet in a 2-3ft patch just outside the door. The patch is kinda in line with the drain hole in the center of the bathroom floor, or it could be the toilet that's needed fixing for a few months now. Either that or it's still wet from when I mopped the bathroom floor just before xmas (some water might have ran out the door?) and it's been too humid to dry properly.

I had to be at work at four AM, today.
I got home just after noon, though. I misssed The Tournament Of Roses Parade! It is one of my favorite things which I loook forward to all year.
